- Expectations: Division expectations will be laid out in a Division’s CoC addendum to focus purely on the attendance requirements, responsibilities, and general expectations for pay grades based on guidance listed in Section III.A.
- Resignation:
- Division staff – defined as NCOs, SNCOs, Officers, and Senior Officers – who choose to step down from their position will not be penalized for their decision.
- Staff who choose to step down from their position must notify their division leadership seven days in advance of their intent to step down.
- Officer & above who choose to step down may be eligible for any available enlisted position in their division pending review of their TIS, the unit’s leadership, and division leadership.
D. Unified Division Rank Limitations
- Each division of VVarMachine Gaming will be commanded by a single Flag Officer, pay grade O-7 or higher.

- Other staff, consisting of Senior Officers and below, may be added as needed to a division’s Operational or Organizational structure to ensure its smooth functioning.
- Members maintaining an active Officer or Senior Officer billet in a gaming division (referred to as their ‘Primary Division’) may not fill another Officer or Senior Officer billet in another division.

- Community Leadership (CL) are, for the purposes of VVarMachine, the owners and administrators of the entire community.
- CL also serves as head and final decision-making power of the Community Council.
- In the absence of a Flag Officer to lead an active gaming division, the CL may fill in for and add to that division’s chain of command.
- The CL is to be made up of no less than two – and no more than three – voting Flag Officers and one non-voting Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA).
- CL Rank Structure is as follows: Community Commanding Officer (CCO), O-10; Community Executive Officer (CXO) O-9; Community Adjutant (CA) O-8; & Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA) E-9.
B. Council Members
Across all divisions, members who are Staff Non-Commissioned Officers, Officers, Senior Officers, and Flag Officers belong to the Community Council. The council serves as the governing body of VVarMachine Gaming and contains both voting and non-voting members.
1. Voting
- Officers, Senior Officers, and Flag Officers are all considered voting members of the council, regardless of division association.
2. Non-Voting / Advisory
- Staff Non-Commissioned officers belong to the non-voting portion of the council. These members serve as a direct line to the community’s most important resource, its enlisted members, and are expected to state and carry positions that would most benefit their division and its members.
- The Senior Enlisted Advisor maintains the same non-voting status as all other SNCOs but is intended to serve in the best interests of all enlisted members across divisions.
C. Votes
- Each voting member of the council may cast one vote for any nomination, confirmation, or policy change and may not cast another council member’s vote in their place.
- Members may cast absentee votes in the event they are unable to attend a live vote. These must be sent to a voting member of the Community Leadership (as defined above) and will be counted towards the ongoing matter’s tally.
- Voting members retain the right to abstain from any vote for any reason.
- No votes for introduction to OIT or passing OIT and becoming Officer require an explanation so it can be addressed.
D. Nomination of new Voting Members
- New voting members may be nominated from a division’s personnel at any point so long as they fill the minimum requirements to enter an OIT program.
- Nominated members must have an appropriate tactical or operational billet to fill within their primary division before being put before the council.
- Nominated members with no prior experience as a VVarMachine Officer / voting council member must have a sponsor, who will act as their primary instructor. Their primary instructor is, in conjunction with their division leader, responsible for planning their Officer in Training (OIT) program prior to the council vote of confidence required to begin the program.
- Nominated members who have prior VVarMachine Officer or SNCO experience in the relevant field require a sponsor but, pending approval by Community Leadership, may not require an OIT program and can proceed directly to a vote of confirmation.
E. Voting
- All voting will be conducted through Discord in accordance with the VVarMachine Voting Policy.
- Ample opportunities will be provided to feedback prior to voting taking place.
- Community Members will have the opportunity to provide feedback prior to the voting during the fortnightly Community Meeting.

- If you are unsure if any activity, message, etc. violates community rules and expectations – reach out in the Officers Discord channel and link to the offending message, conversation, or act.
- It is best practice that when moderating or mediating posts are made by members not from your primary division – a Council Member, and as a last resort the Division Leader, from the member’s primary division is brought into the conversation.
B. Disciplinary Process
1. Non-Members
- Persons who fall under the ‘Affiliate / Friends / Recruit’ status are expected to abide by all rules and regulations as defined by this CoC.
- Unlike Community Members, Non-Members are not afforded the same disciplinary protections and allowances as full members.
- Should a non-member fail to adhere to the CoC and require disciplinary action – up to and including the need to be removed – it may be done at the discretion of voting Council Members of the division that has accepted them.
- Non-members still retain the ability to appeal any disciplinary decisions to Community Leadership. You can use the Contact Us form on our website.
2. Members
- Violations of the CoC will result in a warning.
- Multiple violations of any VVarMachine Gaming policies or procedures will result in disciplinary action up to – and including – removal from the community.
- In certain cases – the consequences of a CoC violation may result in temporary removal from the community. Pending a meeting of Community Leadership and Senior Council Members, this may become permanent.
3. Voting Council Members / Officers
- In the rare occurrence of successive CoC violations made by a voting member of the Council – a hearing may be called. Reasons for and process are detailed below.
- Reasons for removal are, but not limited to:
- Dereliction of Duty
- Multiple Code of Conduct violations
- Bringing active harm to VVarMachine Gaming
- Initiation of Proceedings
- The Council Member in question must be notified they are being subjected to a review for removal and are expected to be alerted in a timely fashion.

- Removal Proceedings
- All Removal hearings will be done via voice chat and recorded. Recordings will be maintained for one year from the date of the recording.
- At least one voting member of Community Leadership and two division leaders or senior voting Council Members must be present.
- The grievances that initiated the petition for removal will be presented by Community Leadership to the accused.
- The accused will be allotted a short amount of time to rebut any presented accusations with no interruptions from other parties.
- A vote will be called immediately, with no discussion, with all officers that are present.
- Proceedings Resolution
- If the vote to remove the council member fails to achieve its required majority (simple or 2/3rds), the member will retain their position and rank.
- In the event of a tie, the accused will retain their position and rank.

- All people interested in joining VVAR through the PS2 Division will be added to the In-game Outfit at the rank of Recruit.
- If a guest becomes interested in joining VVAR permanently, they must participate in at least Six VVAR PS2 Operations or Five Operations within Two weeks before being listed as a Member of the Community (in Discord) and an Active Member in-game.
- Participation in an operation is usually considered to be 30mins long, but showing up late to the operation and sticking around until the end for a total of less time during said operation can be considered as participation for folks in the recruitment process. This clause is recommended, not required so officers can count folks who have little time to attend VVAR Operations for the sake of recruitment.
- Existing Members of other VVarMachine Divisions who join us within Planetside 2 are automatically added as active members within the Planetside 2 outfit.
- All non-commissioned officers, staff non-commissioned officers, officers, and the flag officer are advised to comment on the performance and conduct of potential recruits to better assess whether they belong with VVAR if they feel something should be said.

A general note for all ranks (besides members): If an officer is unable to lead an organized operation, the responsibility falls on SNCO’s, or NCO’s if all SNCO’s are absent.
