FleetCom Update

FleetCom Update

As we push ahead into 2025, I [Ech0Whiskey] first want to wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope your holiday season was filled with tasty food and great times spent with loved ones. Now that folks are returning to their normal routines of work, school, and other various commitments, We’ll be looking to do the same here in the VVarMachine Gaming Community. Razzun, Cannon, and I will continue our monthly community game nights, with the next one scheduled for January 25th at 9pm Eastern, we hope to see you there. As always, thank you all for your continued support of our community and your contributions towards making this a great place to play for everyone.

Like we do at every community meeting, and in each quarterly updated, we would like to thank all those that continue to donate through Patreon or Discord Server Boosting. During the Star Citizen Division reserve state, Patreon donations have been put on hold as the SCNet servers have been shutdown. We thank all our past supporters in helping offset the cost of the hosting.

Discord Server Boosting gives our Discord server a little extra flair from server banners to a custom join link. Our Discord Server Boosters: Ech0Whiskey, FallenHylian, Jeffon, MantisOlthoi, Razzun, Sivien21, WhiteknightR and Zahraphim. Your continued support is greatly appreciated in boosting our server and giving us the many cool features such as the custom join URL and more additional emojis!

Division Updates

PlanetSide 2 Update

PlanetSide 2

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2025!

2024 was a busy year for the Planetside 2 Division for a number of important reasons. We participated in the 11th Community Smash for Charity and won alongside BRAC and many other friends we made along the way. We expanded our Operations to the Emerald to increase our Ops’ variety and to taste the days of old Planetside 2. There were a few very large Ops that were run, including 2 Community Game Nights. The unit’s skill level and cohesion tangibly improved over the course of 2024, allowing us to achieve the same feats as usual even with the lower attendance of 2024’s latter half.

The decline of Connery has been felt and changed how ran Operations throughout the year, but as of now, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The 2024 Dev Letter brought news that Connery and Emerald will be merging within the next few months, which means our server population struggles will be coming to an end in 2025. There will also be a new facility type (which can already be previewed in-game) and a new vehicle related to it.

So what does this mean for VVarMachine? We will be taking things a little slower to start this year. In January, expect Colossus Ops regularly, some trainings, a few Public Ops, and maybe some other surprises. What we are really doing is waiting for the Server Merge to go all in on recruitment and pushing activity levels. The server merge will be the perfect opportunity to revitalize the unit after pushing through many game issues the past year. Our Ops will once again be unified under our main Outfit Tag.

We will be discussing future plans as a division as Q1 progresses, and expect monthly office hours to remain consistent as a place for those discussions and many others. Until next time, thanks for reading and supporting our division, and cheers to 2025!

Now on to Star Citizen.

Star Citizen Update

Star Citizen

Greetings everyone!

A new year brings new updates and changes to Star Citizen. Recently game update 4.0 has gone live into the “preview” version which brings in our second system, Pyro. The new update also includes new Server Meshing technology, Contested PvP Zones, Jump Points, Outposts, and soon, Engineering gameplay. However, that does not come without its problems, in the current build players have been encountering game-breaking bugs but that has yet to stop many from getting back into the verse.

With the new update, many members have been jumping into the game to explore Pyro and grind for aUEC with the fresh wipe while also running missions with the new Polaris Corvette-class capital ship. While the Organization is still in reserve status, we are still looking to the stars to reactivate and resume mil-sim operations in the near future.

This year is the year for game stability, and with it, a year of growth for our division. See you all in the verse.

Final Thoughts

We are looking forward to another great year at VVarMachine. We celebrate 12 years in February! It always amazes me [Razzun] to see this community ebb and flow and stay together. And remember to sign up for the next community game night and make your input heard to what game you would like to play.

See you online and see you around!
