FleetCom Update
Greetings everyone! On behalf of myself [Ech0Whiskey], Razzun, and the officers of VVarMachine, I’d like to wish you all a happy start to the spring season.
The past few months have been trying for many of us. With the potential of economic downturns ahead, and uncertainty of what our futures may bring, it’s certainly difficult to keep an optimistic attitude in our day to day routines. However, one thing which unites us all is the sense of community we’ve built and our shared interest in gaming, which for many is a temporary escape from the challenges of the world in which we live.
I’m looking forward to our next scheduled community game night, details to be determined shortly. For now, I just want to wish you all the best of luck as we navigate uncharted waters. Continue reading below for some updates surrounding StarCitizen and PlanetSide 2.
Like we do at every community meeting, and in each quarterly updated, we would like to thank all those that continue to donate through Patreon or Discord Server Boosting. During the Star Citizen Division reserve state, Patreon donations have been put on hold as the SCNet servers have been shutdown. We thank all our past supporters in helping offset the cost of the hosting.
Discord Server Boosting gives our Discord server a little extra flair from server banners to a custom join link. Our Discord Server Boosters: Ech0Whiskey, FallenHylian, Jeffon, MantisOlthoi, Razzun, Sivien21, WhiteknightR and Zahraphim. Your continued support is greatly appreciated in boosting our server and giving us the many cool features such as the custom join URL and more additional emojis!
Division Updates

PlanetSide 2
Q1 of 2025 has been spent preparing for the upcoming North American Server Merge. We’ve been running a number of specialized Ops on Emerald in order to practice specific tactics that will become more prevalent once we are mixed in with the folks of Emerald, such as good ol’ Rooftop Warriors, Disruption tactics, and Logistics-focused objectives. These Operations have been very successful overall. Our Connery Operations have been enjoyable from time to time as well, but have mostly consisted of us bullying the other factions at a single base for a while before getting tired of it. The new “Assault Facility” was also released on Esamir, which has been a great new addition the few times it has been present during Ops. While the Ops have been productive or entertaining, we have finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel.
Connery and Emerald will be merging on Tuesday April 8th, 2025. This will lead to a few things I wanted to clarify here:
- We will no longer need to use any Emerald Characters or the Outfit created on Emerald. Our Emerald Outfit will be handed off to a “holding character” so that anyone may do whatever they want with their Emerald Characters. I recommend against doing anything important with your characters on either Emerald or Connery until some time has passed due to potential data issues caused by the merge.
- The possibility of population queues will increase dramatically after the merger, so showing up to Ops as early as possible will become a much higher priority or (in rare cases) mandatory.
- I expect at least a few people who have been waiting for Planetside 2 to experience a higher population, or a return to the old times, to show up and begin attending Ops again. Since we have been training for this merge for the past few months, we will be focused on polishing any rough edges our Ops have after the merge. High Population Planetside 2 requires much more deliberate coordination in order for a smaller unit such as ourselves to have an impact on the game or the continent state. One person can still have a large impact, but that impact is only felt if a large enough force is there to reinforce it. Getting pop-dumped by an entire platoon will be more than likely, so we need to be prepared to give that platoon a worthy obstacle.
- Outfit Resources are going to become harder to acquire for a while, so we will need to spend them wisely.
Our two goals for our Operations after the Merge are Fun and Impact. We will be focused on identifying what kinds of Ops are the most enjoyable for us in the coming weeks (among old ideas and new ideas yet to be discovered), but also focused on making sure we are having the largest impact possible on the continent state. We are VVarMachine. We have been doing this for a very long time. We are not going to let any new faces or old ones stomp all over us just because there’s more of them.
Expect more effort towards Recruitment, the end of an unintended hiatus for Office Hours, and some potential Joint Ops with new or returning outfits if the opportunity presents itself after the merge. And to all of the folks who have stuck with us or kept an eye out for us over the past 18 months: Thank You. Your support for the division has been greatly appreciated and the reason we’ve been able to keep spirits high while awaiting the merge. Let’s look forward to some bright days ahead, shall we?
Thank you for your time. Now, on to Star Citizen.

Star Citizen
Greetings everyone!
Recently game update 4.1 has gone into the live servers. With this year focused on game stability, CIG has taken measures of not provide groundbreaking updates, but instead squashing groundbreaking bugs. Currently, we are seeing several major fixes with stability improving across all fronts’, granted bugs are still flying around. Star Citizen is also on the course of coming out with more sandbox like experiences in the game. These include story driven gameplay experiences where monthly missions are being delivered and every citizen will leave their mark in the verse with what they do.
With gradual increase of player activity, the Star Citizen Division voted to reactivate our Organization. While staying true to our mission and founding fundamentals, we are focused on starting small in a unit size approach until we can grow into massive fleet while the game continues to develop.
Currently, our Organization is holding two reoccurring events per week (Thursday and Saturdays). Both are focused on different gameplays within the verse and allow all members to participate where they wish to serve. Additionally, members are encouraged to request to host their own events for the Org. allowing flexibility with time zones and schedules. With more and more sandbox style gameplay, comes more opportunities to explore and grow our Fleet.
See you all in the verse.
